Video recap from @EvanSnow13 's @creativezen_talks talk during the 5 year anniversary event of the talk he passionately hosts (6/92023).
Like many people, Evan Snow was just a regular guy, going about his life working a 9 to 5 desk job as a recruiter. At some point around the entrepreneurial awakening in 2014, he serendipitously began obtaining inspiration in the form of TED Talks and motivational speeches creating a desire to do more with his life. Once he received a spark in the form of some key "ah-ha moments", Snow decided to step outside his comfort zone, making many pivotal choices along the way to find his hidden potential. Learning To Choose highlights 7 of these choices and the learning lessons that followed on his path to arts advocacy, community building, and creative entrepreneurship. The goal with sharing the stories within this book is to help inspire others to change their life, their community, and maybe even the world as a result of discovering the higher calling buried within all of us.

AAF CreativeZen was born out of a desire for @Choose954 & The #UniteUsGroup to connect, engage, and inspire our local creative community with support from our local American Advertising Federation Broward Chapter. We open the doors 30 minutes before the talk starts to mix, meet, and mingle with fellow likeminded members of our community.
Every Creative Zen event includes a complimentary guided meditation before a short inspiring and thought provoking talk during the second Friday morning of the month. All Creative Zen events are free of charge and open to the community, being creative is not required!
We hope you find the inspiration you're looking for through these stories as we did, which is why we pay it back and pay it forward by continuing these events for FREE! #CreativeZenTalks #Choose954

100 classes @sweat440coralsprings
That number represents discipline. Early mornings. Long days. Showing up when it would’ve been easier not to. Forty focused minutes at a time.
As I prepare to turn 40 this week, I can honestly say I feel stronger than I have been in my life.
Not just physically. Mentally. Structurally. Energetically.
I now train Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday religiously.
Sunday: Hybrid – Full Body. (Swipe for a sped up preview)
A mix of HIIT and core exercises designed to give you power and strength in a total-body 40-minute class. It’s the perfect reset. Intense. Focused. Efficient.
Tuesday: Strength – Upper.
Metabolic conditioning circuits with upper-body resistance training and core work designed to get you lean and ripped fast. Controlled overload. Real structure. Real results.
Thursday: Strength – Lower.
Focused lower-body work to strengthen legs and glutes so you can lift heavier, move better, and feel more balanced. Foundation work that translates into everyday strength.
What I respect most about Sweat 440 is that it’s not random. It’s structured programming built around progressive overload. You increase resistance. You increase intensity. You track progress. You avoid plateaus.
Classes start every 10 minutes. Coaches are hands-on. Movements are scalable. Whether you’re brand new or advanced, you’re pushed safely and intentionally.
I’m loving how my body is transforming and supporting me. Better posture. More endurance. More confidence. More resilience.
More than anything, I’m proud of the personal growth behind it.
You don’t have to be fit to start. You just have to start.
If you’ve been thinking about prioritizing your health and wellness, join me for a class. Or at least commit to your own version of showing up somewhere.
Big shout out and gratitude to the team of coaches & managers who push me to be better and go harder (mainly @jennaspina_ Who kicks my @$$ in a good way!)
Strength and flexibility are not opposites. They are partners.
In this clip, Annie Gordon shares the heart behind Yin Yoga, a modern, meditative practice influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine and designed to reset your nervous system from the inside out.
Unlike fast paced or heated classes, Yin invites you to slow down. Poses are held for several minutes, giving connective tissue and fascia time to release, circulation time to improve, and your mind space to settle. It is less about performance and more about presence.
Rooted in the philosophy of Yin and Yang, the practice reminds us that we need both effort and ease, resilience and surrender. In yoga and in life.
It is quiet. It is intentional. It is adults lying on the floor in the dark, breathing, listening, reconnecting.
And as Annie says, you might even get “tricked” into loving yourself a little more.
If this resonates, join Annie live at CreativeZen on Friday, March 13th inside Zero Empty Spaces at DCOTA in Dania Beach. Doors open at 8:30 AM. Talk begins at 9:00 AM. Free and open to the community.

Tonight was a reminder that intentional community does not happen by accident. It is designed.
Deep gratitude to Laura Enrique and her @intentionallivingclub_ team for creating something rare through the #IntentionalLivingClubDinnerSeries.
This was not just a dinner reservation. It was a five hour immersion into presence, reflection, and connection.
We began in circle. Meditation. Paired exercises. Journaling. Real dialogue. Conversations that moved beyond small talk and into substance. Strangers sitting across from each other and, within minutes, speaking about purpose, fear, growth, and what it means to live intentionally.
Then we shared a three course, soul nourishing dinner together inside @apollo.plants in #LittleHaiti, surrounded by art and intention. No alcohol. No phones on the table. No numbing. Just presence.
There is something powerful about breaking bread with people you just met and leaving the table feeling like you gained new friends. It reminds you how much we are all craving depth, not just connection.
We talk a lot about the loneliness epidemic facing every community. Nights like this are part of the solution. Thoughtfully curated third spaces where people are invited to show up fully, listen deeply, and be seen.
Community building does not always look like a conference or a networking event. Sometimes it looks like a circle, a journal, and a shared meal.
Grateful to be in rooms like this. Grateful for leaders like Laura who are intentional about designing them. Even more excited for @10daysofconnection in May!
(And big thanks + kudos to old friend @rawchefcarla who made last months meal which is how I found out about #LauraHenrique & the #IntentionalLivingDinnerSeries 🙏)
Sometimes It's wild to remember how far we've come, and how if you're in tune with it - how life can come full circle. With @ChetFaker releasing new music this week and @iiipoints lighting up Miami again last week, I couldn’t help but think back to the night that changed everything for me.
It was 2014. I was still living out west in suburbia #BrowardCounty—working a 9-to-5, watching the Heat + Hurricanes games with my friends, not yet tapped into the arts & culture. Then one night, a friend said, “We’re to go to this music show in a place called Wynwood to see this guy...” I’d never even been there, I hadn't been to a dance music event in 10 years, and had no idea what to expect. Thankfully, The artist was Chet Faker, and the event was the second-ever #IIIPoints at MAPS Backlot.
That night blew my mind. The art, the people, the energy—it opened something in me. A few weeks after, I fatefully posted "there's this #ArtBasel thing going on - who wants to go?" ... to which no one responded.
Which lead me to making one of the best decisions of my life, where I drove down to Wynwood - by myself, #MiamiArtWeek aka #ArtBasel, not knowing what I’d find. That one choice—to show up, to explore, to say yes—completely changed the course of my life, my community, and everything that came after.
Sometimes the most powerful transformations start with a single decision to step outside your comfort zone. That’s where the growth—and the magic—really happens.
