It's been just over a year since my mom passed and my heart still aches every day. But she's constantly finding ways to send signs and it helps to brighten my day and still feel the deep love and connection we share. She had the best taste in music and passed along her love to me. We recently came across two giant boxes of her old records and I'm so thankful to have these as yet another way to feel connected to her - not to mention, there are some classics in here!

"fall back" is upon us! 🗓️🍃 Here are a couple tips for adjusting your plants to less light + cooler weather:
1. Adjust your plant placement. Since the sun will be lower in the Fall and Winter, direct light will enter the room at a different angle. Pay attention to how your plant is now positioned to the light.
2. Adjust your watering. Plants will likely need to be watered less frequently as they will receive less light and lower temps, therefore absorbing water slower.
3. Bonus tip - move plants away from heater vents!

Greece photo dump! 🇬🇷 we had such an incredible trip and Greece stole my heart. Gorgeous sites, beautiful beaches, lots to explore and the most kind, welcoming people. And easy to eat plant based! Lots of local dishes are vegan as is.

Here it is, the primary bath now and before. And yes this snake babe got a shower after putting up with all the construction dust! 🌿💦
So much about the before didn't work for us. The door swung into the toilet (we had already taken it off in the before shots), the toilet blocked half of the shower and the vanity was huge and took up an entire wall even though it only had one sink. Addressing these issues were our top priority and I'm so happy with the layout now. It's a smaller bathroom but feels so much more spacious!
There's still more to do (like having a glass shower door installed and smaller things like a TP holder and art for the wall) but we are loving how fresh it feels! We'll throw on a shower curtain until our door is installed.

What is over-watering? Simply put, it's watering when your soil/roots are not yet ready for their next watering. When you water without allowing the soil to properly dry, it can lead to root rot.
Checking the moisture level on your soil is an easy way to know if your plant is ready for more water. This can be performed by the "finger test" or chopsticks for larger plants or if you have one, a moisture meter. 🌿✨

woke up dreaming of Portugal ✨ when we travel, one of my favorite things to do is to visit local botanical gardens. I also love wandering and appreciating the lush greenery on balconies and entryways. It's a serene, peaceful (and free!) way to spend an afternoon 😌🌿✨
Traveling and exploring new places fills my cup to the fullest! It's a big part of our lives that I haven't really been sharing much on here. I draw so much inspiration from our travels that I'm looking forward to sharing more. Up next for us is Greece and I can't wait to soak in all of the beauty and slow moments.
