"Passion and Vision, without the requisite action, is mere Hallucination." This was the highlight of my panelist session on Policy and Advocacy on 18th April, 2026, at LEAD CONFERENCE 2026.
I spoke on the importance of reframiing systems and how students and young persons must move from awareness alone to actually driving change. We are a generation filled with awareness, but awareness alone does not make change, hence the need for action to be taken. We must move beyond complaining and start positioning ourselves in places where real change occurs.
Conclusively, I highlighted the fact that power is not given, but it is taken and as such young persons must begin to position themselves properly, and it starts from wherever we find ourselves.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the CHAIRMAN of the LEAD CONFERENCE planning committee @utibeabasiii for the opportunity to be able to share my little experience on how actual change begins. I must also commend the entire planning committee, LEAD CONFERENCE 2026, was an unforgettable experience.

Day 2 of LEAD 2026 was such a blast and I had so much fun networking, listening to the speakers and just taking in the experience.
I also pitched myself which is a massive accomplishment to me as I’ve been struggling to overcome stage fright. The feeling of doing something you’re scared of and conquering it is unmatched 🦋
