Jason Meadows and Seth Embry helped us plan a great Human Services day. It was such a valuable experience seeing all the collaboration happening across our social services sector. Thanks to the YMCA, the Housing Authority, Lawson State, Faith Chapel Care Center, and the Community Foundation for giving us space to hear these important conversations.
We were honored to host Carl Green in dialogue with journalist Priska Neely at Bottega for a special luncheon last week. Carl’s stories of spending 35 years incarcerated in Alabama’s prisons were both heartbreaking and hopeful, and reminded us why courageous leadership and informed community matter.
