First connecting as students at Juilliard, both Sellick and Renfroe are now active worldwide as first-call players with major jazz headliners, but enjoy coming together for their distinctive duo which features adventurous reimaginings of delta blues, Americana, folk and singer-songwriter classics. Their modern improvisational approach combined with a gutsy acoustic tone and down-home groove creates an original sound not easily defined.
