Plants for Pollinators has officially launched across Havering libraries 🌼🐝
From book collections and workshops to garden transformations and pledge walls, there are plenty of ways to learn more about pollinators and take action to support them.
Launched at Elm Park Library on World Rewilding Day, the project comes at a crucial time - with flying insects in the UK declining significantly in recent years.

From town centres to local streets, teams are rolling up their sleeves and helping keep Havering clean and tidy. 👏
A big thank you to everyone getting involved and taking pride in #WhereWeLive!
The sun was shining and Romford came together for an incredible Great Big Spring Clean! ☀️
A huge 70 amazing volunteers joined us in Romford Market, heading out across the town in three groups before returning for a well-earned lunch, courtesy of Romford BID and two of our brilliant market traders.
It was fantastic to have Wombles Tobermory and Madame Cholet cheering everyone on in the Market Place, and a big thank you to the Brownies and 1st Romford Scouts Cubs who worked incredibly hard.
We were also joined by fellow Wombles from Harold Hill, Hornchurch, Marshalls & Rise Park, along with Havering Green Streets, Romford Civic Society, the McDonald’s team, Havering Council staff and FCC Environment in the Market.
And thank you to St Edward’s Church for hosting our HQ for the day.
