Meet Melissa, owner of @lbwaterbikes , who is a recent recipient of our Visual Improvement Program (VIP)!
Long Beach Waterbikes offers premium hydrobike experiences at 164 N. Marina Dr. Hydrobiking is a great way to explore Alamitos Bay, day and night. Perfect for friends, families, and date nights! Long Beach Waterbikes also serves as a community space that offers yoga classes and sound baths.
After experiencing vandalism to their storefront, they reached out to our team about our VIP Program. “Owning a business is rewarding but there are unexpected challenges. After the vandalism, receiving support from the city through the VIP grant made operating our business a little easier,” said Melissa. The funds from the program allowed them to repair the damages and continue providing fun and relaxing activities to the community!
The VIP grant provides direct financial relief to local small businesses and nonprofits impacted by crime and vandalism on or after Oct. 1, 2023. Eligible businesses can receive up to $1,000 to cover repairs.
