It's been a really difficult season for us acquiring grants. Though we're working on grant applications around the clock right now, we don't have much to get us by this month.
If you're able to donate, you might be the reason our foodbank makes it through another season.
We provide food to 5,000-6,000 of your neighbors every single week through 5 different channels of distribution - so no one is left hungry regardless of circumstance. We provide hygiene products and donated clothes, shoes, rain gear, books etc. We form relationships with the marginalized members of society and go the extra mile to help.
Over the last 8 years, we've become a reliable source of nutrition and community for thousands of Long Beach and nearby residents. We don't want that to end!

We are so grateful to have spent the last 8 years with you beautiful people 💚 It has been quite a journey, but we never lost sight of our mission: to provide fresh food to people in need with dignity and respect.
Since our founding, we have grown in scale and in services. We now provide much more than food (refer to slide 2!).
We promise to keep giving and creating new ways to give back to the 24,000 plus people that rely on us for their wellbeing in your neighborhood. But we need the funding to do so. Our tax dollars aren't supporting this anymore - it's just got to be the people.
Fortunately, the people in Long Beach have an unbeatable grit. We're going to make it no matter what the economy throws at us because we LOVE our community.

This organization started in the home of our founder in 2017, collecting 50 lbs of food per week and distributing it to food-insecure friends at the parks in Long Beach. We began collecting more and more food and creating more programs to get the food out, and on May 14th, 2018, we officially became recognized as a mutual aid non-profit.
Which means that this Thursday is technically our 8th anniversary!!!
We have gone from moving 50 lbs of food per week with one program to 50,000 lbs through six programs (and growing) to all of the neighbors that need help.
24,000 people rely on us every month to scrape by, feed their children, feed their grandparents etc. and feel a sense of community in this increasingly divisive time.
We provide fresh food and hygiene products to whoever comes to us in need and collect donated clothes, shoes, books, rain gear - you name it - so that the people with the least in our country can enjoy the unused items of neighbors with a little bit more. We also have classes, build urban gardens and harvest produce for our neighbors.
Everything we provide is FREE to those in need!
Unfortunately, with the severe funding cuts towards food aid, this has been the most challenging year yet. We fight every single day to keep our doors open.
