RIP Dave Smith. I remember the first time I saw a MIDI port on the back of a synthesizer my father owned. I wanted to know everything it could do. I never thought that one day I would meet the man who invented MIDI. Back in 2009 I created a DJ controller called, “Quick-Switches”. I remember telling Dave about it at the NAMM convention. He gave me great advice & tips on the design and functionality of musical instruments. I’ll always treasure that moment.
