I’m Leya, a Picturebook author and illustrator from switzerland 🇨🇭 and I’ve made the leap into being a fulltime artist last year! 🎨
It’s cool and scary because I don’t know how it will go but I love sharing my things on here and I’m happy to take you along on my journey.
I’m currently working on multiple books and can’t wait to announce my debut 🌟

Introducing new illustrator Leya Luna to Little Inkling ✨
Leya Luna is an illustrator, picture book author and graphic designer from sunny Switzerland. Her richly-textured illustrations often draw from the colours and curiosity of her childhood. She works traditionally, using mixed media – primarily watercolour, gouache or pastels, with pencil details – finishing her work in Photoshop.

Interaktives Live-Painting bei den Pick Shopping Days 🎨
Am vergangenen Freitag und Samstag fanden in St. Gallen zum zweiten Mal die Pick Shopping Days statt und wir durften dieses besondere Event mit einem interaktiven Live-Painting bereichern.
Gemeinsam mit den zwei Künstlerinnen Leya Luna und Talinolou haben wir die Besucher:innen aktiv eingebunden: Die Standortförderung St. Gallen @meinestadtsg wollte wissen, wie die perfekte Innenstadt aus Sicht der Menschen aussieht. Die Antworten wurden direkt vor Ort auf Post-its mit Ideen, Wünschen und Bedürfnissen gesammelt.
Diese Impulse dienten den Künstlerinnen als Inspiration und flossen unmittelbar in ihr entstehendes Kunstwerk ein. So wurde aus vielen einzelnen Stimmen ein gemeinsames, visuelles Gesamtbild.
Ein spannender Dialog zwischen Stadt, Kunst und Bevölkerung und ein schönes Beispiel dafür, wie man Menschen aktiv einbeziehen kann.
