On our way up to the prague castle, we stumbled upon a beautiful little café on a terrace overlooking Prague. As we entered, we discovered the cats. Shortly after a man with a very distinctive style came and fed them. So I obviously had to talk to him and he started to tell us about the cats and how he came to look after them. He is an artist, that regularly plays up at the stairs to the castle. We unfortunately didn’t get to listen to him play but I loved the little conversation we had. Unfortunately I didn’t record the whole story as it was just a byproduct of me filming him.
“We were two little silhouettes against the whole wide sea. The waves beneath us, crashing hard. but we stood there like nothing could touch us. I remember the soles of our feet on the rough stone and how the pain didn’t matter at all. We felt stronger than ever. The birds were screeching, circling above us. I didn’t even worry about falling. I used to believe that if I ran hard enough or jumped far enough, the air would know what to do with me and I’d be no different from the birds. Now, when I watch them flying overhead, I catch myself feeling envy.“
