Hi, I’m Joy 🎻 owner of Lavandula Strings—a boutique string quartet company specializing in thoughtfully curated live music for weddings and celebrations.
Over the past decade, my work as a violinist has taken me to concert halls and events around the world—from Prague and Vienna to Chile and South Korea. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as Lauryn Hill, Yandel, and Yvette Young of Covet.
Previously, I worked at Lincoln Center’s Chamber Music Society in New York City, producing concerts and events and collaborating with classical music’s top artists.
Through my experiences performing and producing concerts with world-class artists, I was inspired to found Lavandula Strings to bring that same level of artistry, professionalism, and care to weddings and special events.
Lavandula brings together a curated ensemble of exceptional musicians to thoughtfully shape the musical atmosphere of each celebration.
It’s truly an honor to partner with couples and planners to bring their vision to life and create moments that feel seamless, meaningful, and unforgettable 🤍

Happy New Year | 明けましておめでとうございます✨ Stepping into the new year with gratitude and intention.
2025 was a year of transformation for Lavandula Strings. We expanded from Colorado into the NYC tristate area and the CA Monterey Bay Area (Joy’s hometown!)
It was also a year of clarity. We chose to say no to abuse in the industry and to walk away from partnerships with high profile companies where we were not treated with respect.
Grateful to feel more aligned than ever 🙏
