Laughlin 🤝 Sul Ross State University
Team XL has partnered with Sul Ross State University to offer graduate degree credits for pilot training!
Newly graduated pilots will now have the opportunity to obtain master's degree credits coinciding with their training experience, cultivating a warrior mindset as they take to the skies! ✈️

Every military member is told the phrase, “Thank you for your service.”
Last Friday, Team XL extended this saying to all military spouses on the installation by hosting their annual Military Spouse Appreciation Day.
Spouses enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities from immersing themselves in the base’s mission to fitness activities promoting health and wellness.
They may not be wearing the uniform, but each military spouse serves as the backbone for every successful mission! For that, we say thank you for your service. ❤️

Col. Ellison and Chief Garza visited the Laughlin Medical Group to get an inside look at how Laughlin’s medical logistics and pharmacy teams keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes. From managing critical supplies to supporting patient care, these Airmen play a vital role in sustaining the mission and caring for the Laughlin community.

Through saving the Air Force $63K annually through a DHA budget initiative, supporting thousands of patient beneficiaries through lab operations, and leading efforts for the Fiesta of Flight STEM Expo, inspiring more than 1,200 local students to explore science careers, TSgt Konopczyk continues to improve patient care and inspire the next generation!

✈️ Team XL welcomed Del Rio Sector U.S. Border Patrol personnel for an immersive look into the operations and mission capabilities at Laughlin.
Throughout the visit, agents had the opportunity to engage with Airmen, explore aircraft operations and experience firsthand how all of Team XL contributes to the next generation of airpower.
The visit strengthened partnerships and highlighted the shared commitment to protecting and serving our nation. 🇺🇸

The fini flight, occurring in a T-6 Texan II four ship formation, signified his last flight as deputy commander of the 47th Flying Training Wing!

After 30 plus years of service, Col. Joseph McCane was honored during a retirement ceremony at Laughlin Air Force Base, marking the close of a career defined by leadership, resilience and lasting impact. 🇺🇸
Surrounded by family, friends and fellow Airmen, the ceremony reflected a career that spanned multiple assignments, deployments and roles in support of the Air Force mission. Throughout his career, Col. McCane dedicated himself to developing Airmen, strengthening teams and advancing the mission. His influence will continue to be felt across the wing and in the Airmen he mentored, contributing to Laughlin’s mission of training the world’s greatest pilots. 💪👏
