The Laufey Foundation is thrilled to announce an international grant and partnership with @leerorkest based in Amsterdam, NL.
The Leerorkest programme aims to provide instrumental music lessons for all children, especially those who would otherwise be unlikely to find their own way into music education. Currently, approximately 5,000 children in Amsterdam play a musical instrument in a Leerorkest orchestra, either in their primary school, high school or in one of the special orchestras for talented students.
On the first year anniversary of its founding, The Laufey Foundation is excited to announce we’re expanding internationally with a new wave of grants, and are thrilled to reveal our first international organization partner: @the_halle based in Manchester, UK.
The Hallé Youth Orchestra’s mission is to offer outstanding young instrumentalists, aged 13-19 years, the chance to experience playing in a full symphony orchestra supported by professional musicians. It is for young musicians who love experiencing orchestral music and the buzz of contributing to a large ensemble.
