Following his reinterpretation of @thaddeus__x âs âClub Safariâ, @lauerlauer opens up about instinct, club culture, and why remixing feels more like solving a riddle than rebuilding a track.

Ravanelli Disco Club is a vital label based in Marseille, founded in 2019 and home to artists such as Jimpster, JKriv, Cody Currie, Ron Basejam, Prins Thomas, Ray Mang, Pete Herbert, Dicky Trisco and many more. For its landmark 20th release, Ravanelli Disco Club proudly presents a new project from one of Marseilleâs most respected figures: Did Virgo, coâfounder of the iconic La Dame Noir and a longâstanding pillar of the cityâs underground scene. A producer, DJ, and cultural catalyst, Did Virgo has spent years shaping the sound of the Mediterranean coast â blending nocturnal disco, leftâfield house, and the cinematic romance that defines Marseille after dark. His new single, âDream Aloneâ, featuring the haunting vocals of Mickey LâAnge, captures that spirit with striking clarity: hypnotic, emotional, and built for lateânight dancefloors.
To mark the occasion, Ravanelli Disco Club brings together a heavyweight trio of remixers, each offering their own signature interpretation. Black Spuma (Fabrizio Mammarella & Lauer) bring a cosmic, Italoâleaning rework full of analogue warmth and Balearic elegance, while groove architect JKriv (RazorâNâTape) delivers a discoâhouse version crafted for peakâtime energy, and Marc Brauner (Houseum) drops a modern, clubâfocused take with crisp drums and deep emotional pull. This release is a celebration of this labelâs fantastic journey, Marseilleâs creative heartbeat, and an artist who has helped define its underground identity.

Few producers in the European electronic music landscape have navigated their career with as much quiet consistency as @lauerlauer Born out of Frankfurtâs fertile club culture, shaped more by the freewheeling spirit of @robertjohnsonclub and the Wild Pitch nights than the cityâs better-known techno institutions, he has spent over two decades refining a sound that resists easy categorisation. âĄïž
His latest EP, The K1m Fantasy, released on @melodizemusic , takes its name from the Kawai K1m synthesizer he recently pulled back from the shelf. For Lauer, inspiration tends to begin with an object, a room, and the happy accident of seeing where things lead. We caught up with him to discuss the new release, the creative partnerships that define his working life, the tension between touring and studio time, and what it means to grow up alongside your own studio. đ¶
