Entropy Pedal Internals 🔧 The circuit features a drive section with a multi-stage gain and distortion based on combinations of JFET and BJT transistors. Transistors are tuned individually for each pedal due to the wide parameter spread of these components. Upper octave can be turned on/off with a carefully designed switching of several circuit elements (filters, rectifier, gain) via a single OCTAVE button. There is a separate blend (Tone / Mid Cut Knob) of flat frequency response and boost simultaneous of high and low frequencies, to create either this boost or a mid scoop. Chaotic section features a separate oscillator-based generator; an independent white noise generator with filtration down to pink noise; a multi-layer system for switching generator modes (injecting guitar signal / basic note / pink noise); chaotic signal routing (pre drive / post drive). Smart deactivation of the chaotic section is implemented with full 100% muting and power cut to the generator when disabled. Additionally, there are also CV IN and EXPRESSION inputs to control the generator’s base frequency. All foot switches are handled by a programmed microcontroller, which can switch many circuit elements with a single button press. Each button has two modes: HOLD and CLASSIC, with protection against accidental presses. Double-sided PCB board (yes, there are more components on the back side). SMD resistors, ICs, some transistors and small SMD filtering capacitors in the power supply are used to reduce PCB size. Capacitors in truly critical audio paths are exclusively film or bipolar electrolyte. The pedal is huge, complex, and very inspiring for creativity and expanding the way you work with signals and music!

Entropy Pedal is a true laboratory of experimental, creative, and unconventional approaches to shaping noise, sound, and guitar tone! The special Chaotic section lets you use the built‑in oscillator‑type generator and apply three different character modes (Noise / Drone / FM). In this example, the engaged analog octave is combined with the Drone mode set to a stable, tuned high note in the main key. This produces a ring modulation effect along with a stable sonic background. Cool stuff!
