Andrew was not just a partner and a friend, he was also the person who with his vision and principle profoundly shaped my mindset both as a creator as well as a human being. His influence was so powerful, it's like fragments of his brains where forever imprinted on mine. That's why the work I will create in the future, as in the past, will not just be me. It will be us! While working on this, I felt your presence beside me. I channeled the knowledge and inspiration that you conveyed to me during our time together. Creating this light design to accompany your forward-thinking and witty sounds, was a deeply emotional experience. Your artistic genius is so dense it can be touched by hand in this song. You pushed and broke boundaries with everything you touched.
We remember and celebrate you this way fratell ❤
This was displayed at the Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival last month.
These are the darkest times. Our genius wizard, and beloved friend Andrew sadly passed away in a tragic accident last week. Please be our light in these dark times.
The void that you left will never be restored, but I know you’ll be there by my side, in every bulb installed, in all the rays we’ll paint, in every reflection or refraction, shimmer and strobe! You’ll be there and we’ll be together! As you’d say “this is not a warning, but a promise!”. I promise that the wisdom, power and radiance you emitted to us in your life, will forever give us the energy to celebrate and honour your vision, and strive to make you proud every step of the way.
These are the darkest times! You’ll forever be missed! Until we meet again on the other side to continue where we left off. Please be our light in these dark times.
