This „Playful Relating Workshop“ is about the explorative practice of authentic and mindful togetherness. We will introduce a range of different communication games as a framework for varied encounters, practicing our listening and our self-perception in contact with others. From our point of view, exploratory conversation spaces of this kind have great potential for dialogue and lively coexistence. Not only in artistic processes, but in all everyday interactions. ⁣ Some snippets from a Crude Saturday performance with @laszlosandig and Lisa Kraus at @tictacartcentre last year. This was at the end of a month of improvising together every day. It’s hard to describe the feeling of composing a dance spontaneously on stage with others… It’s kind of like meditation, kind of like presence, kind of like alchemy. ⁣ ⁣ Since wrapping up our time in Brussels, Lisa and I have been meeting online once or twice a month to continue our improvisation practice, talk about art and hold each other accountable in our quest to keep improvisation alive in our lives. She is based in Philadelphia and I in Brisbane, both places that places that unfortunately don’t have anywhere near as rich an improvisation culture as where we met. ⁣ ⁣ Next week Lisa and @hendrik.vm are teaching a new workshop at Tictac. These two have an amazing way of combining voice and movement. Looking back at some moments from “Primal touch”, a short film that began as an experiment in storytelling through movement. Together with @elke.kalupar , @_aurora , @laszlosandig we explored the dynamics of attachment. We sat in a small forest and began our research with the central question: how can we become more aware of the ways we connect?
