Phenomenal capsule collection between Acne and Lanvin from 2008. Acne was famous for jeans and cool urban wear at the time. The declared aim was to position itself as a designer brand in this segment. Alber Elbaz at Lanvin was at the peak of his career. The Lanvin show was considered one of the hottest tickets of Paris Fashion Week at the time. Mainly because Alber Elbaz dared a lot, like open hems for example or funny advertisements.
When the two brands joined forces for this cooperation, this was not only a real event (at that time, cooperations were also quite rare), but also the coming together of a dream team and a win-win situation. Lanvin could finally make jeans and Acne Studios could join the big names. The Capsule was sold in seconds, so desirable was it. In fashion victim circles, securing pieces from it was considered a MUST.

These secondhand ankle boots age well. Just like a pair of jeans that you wear a lot, there can be interesting marks and wear and tear. The seams become lighter and get patina. This is exactly the case with these shoes. The hem at the top of the entry as well as on the side already have this beautiful patina. In some places, the denim is also already a bit torn, creating interesting details that make this shoe unique.
Of course, it has to be mentioned that this shoe is completely reinforced with leather on the inside. This gives the stability so that the outer fabric can last a long time.

Gucci: Bleached jeans
These elaborately finished jeans by Gucci, which probably date back to the Alessandro Michele era, belong to the “acid” and “destroyed” category.

The originally dark blue jeans have been bleached over a large area and show slight cracks at the leg, thighs and knees. The bleaching is very nicely finished on the back lower leg, where it is splashed in smaller patches and creates a beautiful pattern. The cut of the jeans is largely classic and can be described as “straight”. The Gucci logo is very discreet for once and can only be seen on the metal button on the waistband.
