What does the law say about trees in Lagos?” 🌳⚖️
Tree cutting isn’t arbitrary—it’s regulated.
Under the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law (2017), approval from LASPARK is required before any tree can be cut, pruned, or relocated.
Developers must replace removed trees, and every development is expected to maintain 20–30% green space.
It’s not just about cutting trees—it’s about compliance and protecting our environment.
