The Puttnam School of Film & Animation and The School of Dance and Theatre present “INBETWEENS”
Date: Tues 14 April 2026
Time: 7:30pm
Venue: Creative Cube, LASALLE College of the Arts
No registration required
“INBETWEENS” is a cross-disciplinary collaborative project where Year 2 Diploma in Dance students and Year 2 Diploma in Animation (2D) students come together to create a series of performances that integrate live performance and projected animation.
Throughout the semester, Dance and Animation students are exposed to each other’s creative sensibilities and methodology, where they learn how to make meanings with the expressive languages of both disciplines. As a result of this collaborative project, students learn some basic fundamentals of the other discipline and are able to develop a more holistic understanding and application of their own discipline.

Just a few short examples of our interdisciplinary performance response at the National Gallery Singapore. Original sound was created by LASALLE’s Electronic Music students. It was very important to us that the solos be near the paintings that inspired them, so that the audience could draw connections and allow the two works to be in dialogue.
