No more of a fitting way to celebrate this, and our multi-Grammy nominations at @gamma , than with a Cartier rooftop soirée.
They brought the watchmaking sorcerer from Switzerland to create timepieces on the spot, and I brought Snoop and a few friends. When worlds collide. Love it, and love Cartier. ✨✨

A peerless legend who lived an enviably full life.
A friend and a mentor who supercharged my ambition to take it all the way. Believed in me when I didn’t quite believe in my ability to the fullest. He had such a special way to inspire me.
Quincy had the BEST stories and insights, and was ALWAYS (!!) the last person to leave my house at 4am after one of our legendary parties. I would oftentimes offer him a blanket or a bedroom to stay the night. He had a lust for life like no other.
And any room that he entered, he always made it so much better. Going to miss you, brother. ❤️✨🙏🏾

Its been a very, very tough last couple of months on a personal level. I appreciate all of the love and support that’s been offered by so many. ❤️
Had to come out of my cave over the past month to offer some perspective. The @milkeninstitute global finance keynote with @usher was GREAT, but the @joebudden interview, which came out today, might be my favorite sit-down yet. Vulnerably addressed a lot, and may have spoken a bit too candidly on my honest feelings regarding a few things. :)

On Sunday, we laid to rest and celebrated the life of my younger brother, only sibling, creative collaborator, and best friend Philip Jackson.
He was a HUGE and defining part of why I am who I am.
Growing up, we went to the same schools, shared the same bedroom, and shared the same September birthday party for our entire youth. :)
My younger brother who was also my ‘big brother’ as he fought fiercely to protect me from ANY perceived nefarious forces.
Different personalities but very much so the same person.
His larger than life personality and laughter were contagious and complemented how beautiful of a human being he was inside and out. The realest and most genuine person I know. No varnish, no veneer, and no pretension.
He was a remarkable talent and such an incredibly special soul. Creatively, he had feel, taste and great instincts for what would work.
And the best girl dad of all-time to my niece Tuesday.
He had an incredible knack and passion for providing opportunities for others to flourish, and sparking the ambition of people who needed to hear it most — me included.
As much as I have had immense sorrow and sadness around his passing and transition to the other dimension, I am reminded and humbled that we are all God’s servants here on borrowed time.
The universe has a much clearer plan and calling in mind right now for Phil, one his Chosen One’s, that is far beyond my mortal comprehension.
I will miss him so deeply here in this paradigm and dimension.
It is my honor and duty to carry on his legacy and immortalize him with inspiration from his favorite tattooed Muhammad Ali quote — “don’t count the days, make the days count.”

Back from an IG sabbatical with nothing but the utmost gratitude this Christmas.
The past week has been one for the books. :)
Excited for The Color Purple out today, and theaters are sold-out everywhere. VERY proud to have produced the soundtrack for the film. When @ssprods and @scottseviour first broached the idea, I immediately thought of ALL of the stories that my friend @quincyjones shared with me about his career-defining creative work on the first one. Working on an important film of this cultural significance was a bucket list item for me.
Thank you @oprah + Warner Bros Pictures for your belief in us, and thank you @theacademy for naming us to your shortlist for the 2024 Oscars for Best Original Song. 🤞🏾 @blitzambassador you delivered big time, my brother!
And thank you to all of the executives, artists, creators, engineers, and designers at @gamma / @vydiaofficial and all of the tremendously hard work and indefatigable creativity across the board. What a week! 😅
