RECENT WORK: BEHIND THE DESIGN – So I designed the new Studio Nouveau brand two years ago. For various reasons, the launch is slowly starting now. In between then and now, I’ve moved homes and apparently got rid of old notebooks with my sketches and hand drawn everything. Nice. I've been able to more elegantly recreate some of the process here, but damn I know you would have loved my little pencil sketches. For logo and visual identity projects, I start with words - word association, brain dumps, scribbles and bibbles. Maybe it’s that Advertising/Comms degree put to work but that’s where I start. Those words get me to a place where I can feel how the logo needs to look. I don’t know if that makes sense – it’s visceral. Feeling leads to typography exploration; fonts make the vibe. For Studio Nouveau there is a balance of elegance and bohemia at play. Part of my discovery is of course talking in depth with clients. Not hard when you’ve been friends with one for 20 years! In making Studio Nouveau more personal and aligned with her journey, Lara and I talked about home, art, living, daily details, long term dreams. And part of her personal brand is her personal brands - her tattoos. How to incorporate the language of this art into a brand identity? How can we show the essence of her work in a personal way, without giving her away as a person? Yeah, we can get into some deep stuff. While also leaving room to play and let the magic do its work.

RECENT WORK! It's a rebrand, friends. A rebrand of a brand that gets rebranded when the brand reinvents. @studionouveau_ by Lara Woolfson – photographer, creative, spiritual healer, best friend. Lara and I have been working together since 2008 (hold for gasps), and Studio Nouveau has changed a lot since and in between. Lara has been on a path of discovery with her work, the meaning of beauty in what she shoots, and now, ready to incorporate her spiritual training and being, we have landed in a visual identity of deep connection to the personal. Light and shadow. Ease and surprise. Joy and journey. We’ll get to know the process, players, and the product in the coming weeks, but today here’s a peek at where we are and where we’ve been.

We set out to build the most usable, grounded, non-spiritual, repeatable set of tools you could use, as two friends who had a direct experience that demanded we Stay In The Room. We then refined it, practiced it, argued about it, refined it again, and here we are. @larawoolfson and I created this because we think it’s what can really make a difference. And this 4 hour experience is just the beginning. Come be a pioneer. The room is open LINK IN BIO

Happy Aries SZN from your favorite Aries. <spoken like the true sign> Tend the fire within. Choose adventure. Step on the path before it’s clear. Listen for the yes’s in the body, heed the no’s. Laugh loudly. Give your opinion. Zero poker face. Deep friendship. Long hugs. New beginnings. The sting of a sunburn. Crash of the waves. Too muchness. Just enough. Passionflower. Highways of Sahara mustard. Little lizards. The sky show; sunsets and endless stars. California, you deviant temptress. Two weeks in. Two to go…

Do you think men and women can actually learn to relate differently right now? Yesterday was International Women’s Day, and I’ve been thinking a lot about the women who helped shape me. The circles, the friendships, the strong women who taught me how to stand in my truth, feel my emotions, and speak honestly. I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without them. And because of that foundation, I’ve been asking a different question lately: What would it feel like to stand fully in your strength as a woman… and also be met there by men? Not shrinking. Not softening your truth. Not losing the power you’ve cultivated in women’s spaces. But bringing that strength into a shared conversation. Because if the story between men and women is going to change, we probably have to change it together. That’s part of the intention behind Stay in the Room. It’s a relational practice space where men and women come together to build the skills most of us were never taught — how to stay present, listen deeply, and grow through discomfort rather than shutting down or walking away. And the truth is… this kind of practice doesn’t just deepen romantic relationships. It deepens friendships. Family relationships. The way we show up with everyone we care about. If you feel the pull to stay strong in yourself while also opening your heart to a different kind of conversation between men and women, this space might be for you. You can learn more through the link in my bio. ❤️❤️

Happy International Women’s Day to the witches, the goddesses, the shamans, the warriors, the deep feelers, the mothers, the daughters, the sisters. May your intuition grow sharper. May your hearts remain open. May you bare your teeth when necessary and dismantle the old stories that tried to keep us small. Let us dance under the moonlight. Hold each other while we weep. And lend a hand as we rise again and continue loving this world back to wholeness. In devotion to the wild feminine. The witches were never gone. We simply remembered. 📷 @datrejom

Sometimes the next step in your life doesn’t come from thinking harder… it comes from breathing deeper. I’ve been hearing from a lot of people lately that something just feels different — restless energy, fatigue, or a sense that something in life wants to shift. This Sunday I’m offering a live virtual Higher Self Breathwork session to create space to ground, move energy, and listen more deeply to your own inner guidance. No experience needed — just come as you are. These breathwork spaces are intentionally small so everyone can be held with care. Link in bio to reserve your place. #bostonwellness #bostonbreathwork #breathwork #spiritualgrowthjourney

Higher Self Breathwork — This Sunday 3/8 live on zoom. 10a-12p EST Many people are feeling something shifting right now. Sometimes that shows up as restlessness, sometimes as fatigue, or a quiet sense that something new is trying to emerge. This guided breathwork practice is designed to help you reconnect with your body, your breath, and the deeper wisdom within you. We’ll begin with grounding and embodiment practices, working with the body and the earth to settle the nervous system. From there we’ll move into guided breathwork to activate life force energy and open access to expanded awareness. This practice is an invitation to explore higher states of consciousness and connect with what many traditions call the higher self — the part of you that holds clarity, insight, and deep inner knowing. If you’ve been sensing a shift, searching for direction, or simply craving a deeper connection to yourself, this space is here to support that exploration. No prior experience with breathwork is necessary. Come breathe with me. Link to reserve your spot is in my bio. Space is limited to 8.
