A day spent watching stories that deserve to be seen, heard, and included. Grateful for the invitation. #deaf #advocate #accessibilityandinclusion

Yesterday, I co-hosted Movement Beyond Walls’ Our inclusive world and honestly… it felt like stepping into a little accessible heaven.🥹🖤 We played, created art, moved our bodies, broke walls, and sat in the Circle of Trust. Connected with people with and without disabilities, just being human together. And the best part? I attended the very first edition in 2024 as a participant, so coming back this time as a co-host felt really full circle and very special. Grateful to my friend @pelemonyajo who is the founder🫡🖤 and the Movement Beyond Walls community for creating spaces where accessibility feels joyful, warm, and real. Our accessible world isn’t just an idea… we’re already building it. ♿ #deaf #disablednigerian #diability #accessibilityandinclusion #movementbeyondwalls

"This doesn't cancel my Deafness. It just changes how I experience it.” At 20, Ruth Laraba Barnabas lost her hearing completely. Even hearing aids stopped working. She got bilateral cochlear implants in India, both ears at once. And now she hears through her brain, not her ears. This is what it looks like to choose your own way, between silence, sound, and everything in between.
