My artwork "The Seeker" explores the complexity of human representation in both physical and spiritual realms through a surrealist portrait
-Timed Edition is NOW live until Saturday. Link in my bio for buy your edition
"The Seeker" deals with the complexity of human representation in both physical and spiritual aspects. The search for transcendence is a concern that has always troubled humanity. From east to west, people have been trying to explain that human beings are more than just flesh. From prophets and mystics of all religions on the planet to Carlos Castaneda and Terence McKenna, all have sought to demonstrate that there is another reality beyond the one that follows the rules of logic or science. Toledo has spent his entire life trying to unravel these concepts and express them in images."

The Teachings of Don Juan and the Mescalitos.
Multitudes Series, 2026
Between the teachings of Don Juan and the visions of the Mescalitos, reality fractures and multiplies. Multitudes emerges from that threshold: a field where the self is no longer singular but a chorus, layered, contradictory, alive. Flesh becomes a passage, not a boundary; perception opens, dissolves, reconfigures. In these works, identity is not fixed but in motion, a ritual of fragments seeking form. To look is to enter that shifting terrain, where what we are expands beyond what we can name.
Multitudes Series pt. II 2026
Multitudes unfolds the human figure as a site of internal excess, a body no longer defined by its surface but by the forces that rupture it from within. These works reject the illusion of singular identity, proposing instead a psyche composed of conflicting drives, impulses, and inherited symbols.
Fragments of anatomy dissolve into surreal constellations. Teeth, eyes, flesh, and ritual objects collide with rainbows, animals, and ornamental forms drawn from a vast visual memory. The result is neither chaos nor order, but a charged equilibrium, a state where beauty and violence coexist without resolution.
Through a meticulous process that merges digital painting, collage, and archival imagery, the compositions mimic the complexity of natural systems, dense, layered, and impossible to fully grasp at once. The viewer is not invited to decode, but to confront, to recognize in these fractured interiors something deeply familiar.
In Multitudes, the self is not a singular voice, but a chorus, unstable, contradictory, and irreducibly human.
I am large, I contain multitudes.
Multitudes Series, part 1. 2026
“Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
I am large, I contain multitudes.”
Walt Whitman
