Tonight at #photolondon at Olympia I’ll be in conversation with @bella_freud and Lauren Sherman @lapresmidi of @puckdotnews chatting about the incredible new Steven Meisel show there. A lot to gossip about…
At one point, A.P.C. was as important as Levi’s to a generation of urbanites who wanted to look cool without trying, writes @lapresmidi .
A.P.C.'s new artistic director Ludivine Poiblanc is just the right kind of polished-but-not-too-polished French woman to add the correct fashion edge to a brand that seemed radical when founder Jean Touitou first rebelled against the industry by selling raw denim in an acid wash world.
The truth, though, is that no one really thinks much about A.P.C. anymore—especially if you’re not French. Can LVMH-linked P.E. firm L Catterton figure out how to recapture the magic of the Touitou era?

New York is wack these days but you can still buy a slice of pizza for $1.50, steal flowers from an event, get anything delivered within two hours, and take pilates at 5.30am. I gave in by the end and wore leggings on the plane ride home.
Last week in Milan, Puck and @shopmy gathered a group of fashion’s most thoughtful operators for an intimate dinner at Sandi during Salone del Mobile. The guest list included founders, designers and executives from Prada, Armani, Versace and more—in conversation with Lauren Sherman.
Thanks to ShopMy and all the wonderful attendees! 🥂

An incredibly full week in NY: friends, work, more friends, more work, food, just enough alcohol, art, books, magazines (!!!I know, who needs ‘em!), little kid things, blessedly good weather, a ton of merch i didn’t know i needed, and a pair of spectacular boots borrowed from a very generous acquaintance. Also: if you see black Thistles wayfarers lying around, they are mine and I desperately want them back. (I can live without the two cashmere COS beanies I also lost, but I need those glasses.) See you soon, somewhere!
