What an incredible weekend ! Through rain, wind and finally a bit of sunshine, these amazing JLF trekkers hiked through bushland, conservation parks, across paddocks, rolling hills, scrubland and finished right here at Lapito House, with every step they took raising funds and awareness of Bowel Cancer prevention and early detection. A huge thank you to the @jodileefoundation@eventmanagersaustralia and @thirtysixexpeditions , along with many other incredible sponsors and supporters for making this weekend an absolute cracker. There were smiles, laughs, tears, hugs and cheers as friends, coworkers and family members crossed the finish line. Feeling immensely proud to be a part of this event.

“Dad, would you like to come to Lapito house with me and slash the paddocks by any chance?” Luckily he got his work done, there were no online art or collectable chair auctions australia wide that day and he didn’t have pétanque on, so he responded with a quick “Yes ! I’ll meet you there after yoga”. We had a very long and very productive day here. Gosh it’s a special spot. Wishing our guests a fantastic weekend ahead.

Misty mornings, green paddocks and happy girls grazing. I must say, it’s a good feeling to be able to pump the water tank in the middle of December! Wishing our guest Chris and his family a relaxing getaway here for the next few days.
And just like that, Christmas is here! I definitely haven’t been as active on here, but behind the scenes I’ve been focusing on our guests, our wonderful brides and grooms, and the people that have made this place possible for us. Most importantly I have been making every moment count with these two - Walter and Mike. We love this part of the world more than anything, and we love sharing it with others. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. Without you we couldn’t have grown this business. Mike and I took over from mum and dad two years ago now, and gosh it’s had its challenges, but we have learnt so much along the way. Walter is learning about slaters and millipedes, how to check the water tank levels and to stay away from electric fences, and Mike has taken on the role as our maintenance man effortlessly - from slashing the paddocks to replacing water tanks and broken pipes with tremendous effort. I’m so proud of these two, and I look forward to an exciting 2024. Wishing you all a safe, happy and healthy Christmas. With love from us three (soon to be four 🤍) xx
