Fatherlessness in young women is a topic that has always been close to my heart, and one I have begun to unpick and explore over the last few years. With so few resources on the topic, “Something Like a Dad” is an intimate documentary exploring the lives of young women who grew up with absent fathers. Through interviews, the project creates space for reflection. Each story reveals the complex relationship fatherlessness brings—and the resilience that grows in its place. This is not just about absence, but about the presence these women reclaim for themselves. A look into connection, acceptance and life-long growth.
