The 114th legislative session has officially come to a close. ✊
Together, our organizing, community, and voices helped stop harmful bills from moving forward. HB 793/SB 836 and HB 1711/SB 2108 have FAILED, protecting access to free education for immigrant children and preventing forced reporting to ICE.
Even though not all the bills failed, the power of collective voices coming together showed legislators what truly matters... the safety of all children. La Paz will continue to advocate and protect the rights of immigrants in Tennessee.💚
Join us along with @lapazchatt and @gaininggroundgrocery next Saturday, May 9, for an afternoon of plant and seed exchange, food, crafts, and learning, including about the community garden at La Paz and opportunities for gardener mutual support networking!

In our Impact Report, not only do we showcase our groundbreaking efforts... but also how Chattanooga shows up for the Latino community. ✊ We continued to meet our community members where needed by amplifying our food access, navigating housing instability, engaging through educational programming and much more!
We couldn't have done any of this without the support the community and donors. Your generosity impacts the lives of your neighbors in many ways!🌟 Thank you, Chattanooga!🌿

Let's look back at March and all the fun things we did!💐
- We held the Funders breakfast with local officials and major donors, where we shared our Impact Report of 2025 and how we supported the Latino community last year. Thanks to @buenos.dias.coffee for catering the delicious breakfast!☕
- The students of Avanzando Through College had their Career Panel, where they got the opportunity to network with local professionals and make connections. Thank you to the Protégé Class @ypchatt for connecting with the students!🍎
- We held our first En La Mesa fundraiser, where we gathered supporters for a lovely intimate dinner and a cooking demonstration from @littlevenezuelarestaurant . 🍛

Bring your pets to the Mobile Pet Clinic for LOW-COST vaccinations and preventive care! 🐾
We will be opening the mobile clinic once again in collaboration with @compassioncoppercanyon to provide vaccinations and other care for your pets.🐱 The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, from 1:15 pm to 3:15 pm.🐶
Please bring your dogs on a leash and your cats in their carriers. We remind you that we only accept CASH payments and that we serve on a first-come, first-served basis.
