I’m not entirely comfortable with the idea of sharing tributes online, however I thought it would be remiss if I didn’t offer a giggle at this time. Alex and I worked on a lot of video projects together, and were constantly cooking up some kind of idea or concept.
This one is particularly special to me, just because it never actually made it out of my drive. The funny story is that this is the first ever video we did together for his beer “never drinking again”. After about a week of planning, we spent three days filming this. It largely involved me actually running after him, holding a camera that was far too heavy to run with and a gimbal that had a mind of its own. After three days of (literally) running after him, and a further two of editing footage, he called me -
“ I fucking love it, but we can’t use it”
A popular supermarket chain has just released a video with a similar concept, and we couldn’t have that. We tried to work out ways for this video to get its day in the sun. Although not the way we planned, I hope it can stand testament to this wonderful person I adored.
I think he’d want a bit of a cheeky giggle, so here it is (I hope)
