We’d like to honor today as Denim Day.👖
A day that speaks out on the fact that clothing does not provide consent in any way, where you wear denim as a way to fight victim-blaming and challenge the assumption, the question of, “Well what were you wearing?”
Wear some denim today to help educate and bring awareness to the cruelty in this question, because clothing doesn’t speak for anyone.

For this weeks activist of the month, particularly in regards to Sexual Assault Awareness, we’d like to highlight Tarana Burke.
Tarana Burke is an activist who works at the intersection of racial justice, the arts, anti-violence, and gender equity. She most famously founded the #MeToo movement, which gives voice to survivors of sexual violence and abuse. It’s a reminder that there is no alienation, and you are not alone in your struggles of what occurred;
You’re more than what happened.
In a post E-Files society, platform survivors and listen to their stories.
If you’re comfortable, share your experience. Have your pain recognized, heard, and provide strength to more survivors in need of courage to speak out themselves.
It will be okay, and it will get better, easier, to not only speak but to live.

Happy Earth Day! 🌍💙
Let’s have this moment for us to honor the world that holds us. From the ground we walk on to the air that travels through our body and out, we’re apart of it and separate.
Which is why we need to acknowledge and recognize the Earth as a mother to nourish and take care of.
Why ever treat the world we live in carelessly?
If you haven’t been, take time out of today to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
♻️ Then keep it going, make it daily, because Earth day isn’t really one single day. Our care doesn’t stop by the end of today. It can’t.

With great honor we say happy Arab American Heritage Month! ❣️
While every month is a plethora of subjects, as this month is also about Sexual Assault Awareness and Autism Acceptance (Which we also give great notice to and honor as well!), we’d like to specifically highlight the fact that it’s also Arab American Heritage Month.
It’s an honoring that’s not widely known or commonly celebrated, as it’s only been decided since 2017. It’s important to make it known there’s more to celebrate, especially with what’s been happening in the middle east and with Palestine.
We need to emphasize and celebrate more than ever the people living there, their language, and their culture, in times of brutal erasure and horrifying injustice.
The Arab American Activists shown in this image are Helen Thomas, Donna Shalala, Ralph Nadir, Edward Said, Rashida Talib, and Ramy Yousef. Through honoring them we honor this beautiful and diverse culture that they represent.
