For the #WLAM2026 topic, “Action Through Practice,” we're highlighting the growing trend of office-to-residential conversion projects in urban areas.
Travel with us to The Field Building at 135 South LaSalle in Chicago! Built in 1934, this historic Art Deco building is undergoing an #adaptivereuse into a multifamily residential building with ground-floor retail. The project also includes seven amenity deck spaces, developed in close collaboration with the architect (@scbdesign_ ) and structural engineer (@TGRWA ).
We're excited to collaborate on this important project as the #landscapearchitect and #civilengineer—an opportunity to reinvigorate the area, honor the building’s history, and reimagine its future.
