Literally it’s been 16 years and “16 carriages” was the song that kept playing in my head, that line, “For legacy, if it’s the last thing I do. You’ll remember me cause we got something to prove.”!, hit me deep. Because that’s exactly what this season feels like, legacy.
When I went on maternity leave, I didn’t know how long I’d be gone or what life would look like as a new mom and business owner. But I prayed… a lot. I told God I just wanted to show up in every area of my life, as a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a business owner and a vessel for His purpose.
Then one night, just two months postpartum, my girl
@ShelondaStokes , whom I love dearly and am forever grateful for, sent me the grant link. I was tired, but my spirit said, “Show up.” I applied, prayed, and left it in God’s hands.
Fast forward September 15th I opened my email and screamed. I was chosen as one of only 37 recipients nationwide for the
