This week, I had the pleasure to host Shiro, our global CTO and Amir, our global Director of Product in Nigeria. We met with the leadership team of some of the fintech players (eg Moniepoint, Verve & Paystack). I was very inspired by my discussion with Vincent, CEO of Verve and to learn how Verve has scaled to 100mn debit cards in Nigeria. Looking forward to deepening our partnerships across board.

60 startups pitched bold ideas, and with Glovo’s sponsorship, 1 winner walked away with $10k + a Barcelona trip to our HQ ✨. Several other startups also took home prizes.
It was an honor to sit on the panel alongside the Honourable Commissioner for Innovation, Science & Technology and other esteemed judges.

Meet @lamidea as she joins us at the Africa Technology Expo 2025!
Lamide brings extensive industry and leadership experience, having worked across multiple markets in Africa over the last decade. Lamide joined Glovo in 2021 as the Head of Q-commerce for Sub-Saharan Africa. In this position, she built Glovo’s marketplace business for groceries, health and retail as well as launched and scale‹ company’s darkstores across the region.
