Join us for the release, celebration and reading of the Oxeye Reader 3: Cincinnati, Ohio.
For the past year and a half, poets Harris Wheeler, Brett Price, and Jordan Dunn (editor of @oxeye_press ) have been hard at work soliciting, arranging, editing, and designing this marvelous collection of Cincinnati-based writing. The journals will be available for sale starting at 7pm followed shortly by readings from many of the contributing writers. See you there!
Next up FEBRUARY 27th @lambda___research we will be hosting a benefit show to raise funds for local organization TRANSFORMATIONS CDC. They do incredible work in Cincinnati to help local families who have been affected by ICE as well as community engagement in other aspects. All proceeds for this gig will go to them. We will have artwork for sale as well as a plethora of different food. The music will start around 8:00 that evening.
Local groups playing will be Worlds Greatest, Badman & The Serfs! Cheers.
Flyer was a collaborative effort by myself & Thomas.
On August 2nd we are hosting the Island Light Show, an exhibition and zine release of work by Gage Veith. The work focuses on the documentation and exploration of the local and historic Island lights scattered around the city as remnants of a former public transit system.
On May 16th time signatures relink and portals emerge in the multi-disciplinary works of Elyse Johnson, Jackson Wirth, Joseph Trame, Kyla M. D-H., Millie Ferguson, and Thomas Wagster. Worselands is an ode to Badlands—this groups’ 2015 thesis exhibition at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. The exhibition contains six perspectives and practices touching on the passing of a decade, connecting how each artist uses their internal landscape to exemplify their experiences between then and now. We invite you and everyone you know to join us for an evening of celebration, strange turns, sandwiches, and reconnection.
