The Lakeside Pride Pops Ensemble closes its concert season with âWhat Was I Made For?â - a reflection on the struggle to find our place in the world. The Legend of Zelda reminds us of the purpose Link finds through each new adventure. Youâll also hear a KPop Demon Hunters favorite, and a few of Sondheimâs most thoughtful tunes. Join us at the Logan Center for the Arts on May 30 to hear more!
Itâs time for the annual Chicago thawâso shake off the hibernation, slide into Sidetrack, and let someone pour you something sparkling while we do the rest.
Our May show, Spring Awakening, is that first deep breath after a long winter: a little bittersweet, a little hopeful, and suddenly full of sunlight. Expect songs that feel like rain finally letting up, clouds rolling by, and the world going bright againâbig-heart anthems, soft nostalgia, and just enough yearning to make it shimmer.
Join us May 9 at Sidetrack. Doors open at 1:00 pmâgrab a drink, toast the thaw, then meet us in Main Bar for the show at 1:30 pm.
And keep that calendar handyâour next show is June 22 with Unity. Weâll share more soon, but for now: save the date and stay tuned.
Exciting news! Mark your calendars for June 5, 2026, at the Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center, where our very own assistant artistic director @jackiefischer5 will conduct the Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band as guest artists at the @aywsmusic âs âSkylines in Soundâ concert. Ticket information coming soon.
They say only fools rush in, but youâll be rushing to see our April show Fools Rush In. Weâre leaning all the way into April Foolâs energyâpuppy love, teen angst, and those delicious moments when you realize youâve been gloriously, completely fooled. Expect a cocktail of swoony classics, pop confessions, and big-belt heartbreak as the Wildelings chase rainbows, fall too fast, and prove (musically) that bad decisions make great cabaret.
Join us April 18 at Sidetrack. Doors open at 1, so come early for a drinkâthen meet us in Main Bar for the show at 1:30 pm.
âNo One Is Aloneâ offers one of the most enduring truths, even in the darkest woods, connection sustains us. In community, fear softens. In harmony, grief transforms.
In a world still learning to listen, Resonate lifts its voices to celebrate resilience, community, and the power of unity. Featuring Trans composers, sung by Chicagoâs Transgender voices!
The Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band emerges from its winter slumber, ready to captivate you with the restorative sounds in this spring concert. Bask in the âGolden Hourâ by Cait Nishimura, or rise from the self-reflection of âRestâ by Frank Ticheli. Join us on April 18 to hear more regenerative melodies that give new vigor to life. lakesidepride.org/regeneration
Itâs bracket season and weâre joining in! Our March Madness show is a four-in-one, super-awesome, musical explosion. Weâll be putting four themes up in our brackets and our performers will choose any of the brackets to fill out. Our first half puts Madness and Reality head-to-head with Truth vs Lies after halftime. Which bracket will win? One thingâs certain, youâll already be a winner just by showing up!
Weâll see you March 21 at Sidetrack. Grab a drink at 1 in Glass Bar then join us for the show at 1:30 in Main Bar.
And even after all that - thereâs more! Our next monthly show - Fools Rush In - will be April 19 right here at Sidetrack.
Coming this February⊠The Ex-Files examines the unsolved cases of past relationshipsâclassified incidents of heartbreak, rage, passion, and emotional trauma. Hear all our stories of close encounters of the love kind.
The truth is out there.
And we dated it.
Join us February 21 at Sidetrack. Grab a round (and maybe even a shot) and start commiserating at 1. Then, meet us in glass bar at 1:30 to watch our performers entertain you with The Ex-Files.
Weâre not done at Sidetrack! We look forward to seeing you next month on March 22 as we embrace the season with our March Madness show.
I love the way this photograph has a flow, it feels like an extension of the hand coming from eternity. I love it.
This is from a Lakeside Pride Chicago concert where Raquel was playing harp during a Star Wars piece with the orchestra.
I was on the floor in front of the proscenium trying my best to both stay out of the way and get some sweet shots.
This is using the new PolarPro CineFlow filter which created such an amazing result.
The 2nd image is without using the filter for comparison.
