GOOD NEWS! After three years of building LAKE, we’re genuinely thrilled to have been awarded an Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant to support our 2026 programme. This year, LAKE returns with two cycles of research-led exhibitions, Lake Lab residencies, and live performances, running June to November. Open calls run across most of the programme, alongside updates to our technical infrastructure to work across a wider range of audio formats. Lake Lab is a short research and development residency giving artists dedicated access to LAKE’s audio-spatial infrastructure for testing, experimentation, and live presentation. We’re looking for artists working with sound as a spatial and embodied medium — solo practices and collaborative work across disciplines welcome. More details and open calls to follow soon. @aceagrams

Absurdity is the new normal. A redirection of reality with aspects of the physical and sensory, each piece serves to question the state of the human, and ask if progress has served as benefit. This exhibition by 2nd Year @digital_arts_computing from students from Goldsmiths is showing for one night only. - — Lemar Maunders - Singular 1. Singular 1 is a voluntary participation based installation, which explores the collective nature of facial capture found within early Al adjacent algorithms. A webcam scans for faces and adds into an Eigenface, or mean face, over the course of 10 minutes. Deeply rooted in privacy and the willingness to let it go, creation, and tinkering with the inner workings of early Al algorithmic functions. Penelope Bushell - Her Monument Stirs. “Her Monument Stirs’ intentionally portrays an abstract, nameless, feminine corporeal form, reflective of a recurring loss of autonomy. The sculpture takes on a twisted position, in a moment of writhing, to convey discomfort in her idealisation and anonymity, while her shadows dance and stir behind her, intended to evoke a similar discomfort in the viewer through the contrast of the assumed stillness of sculpture and the glimpses into her contortion as she begins to wake inside the confines of her own monument. Inspired by the concepts of pandiculation, the human tendency to perform stretching movements, often involuntary, to release tension in the body and the idea of metamorphosia, a warping dreamlike, mesmerising visual happening as reality subtly begins to slip away from the confines of solid lines and forms. Wiliam Delmarle - Untitled Noise installation that dissolves the typical structures of music. This work attempts to push the boundaries of what we consider "music" through sound that doesn't behave in ways we expect. Through this, noise becomes a way to think about failure, performance and the pressure to be "correct". In a world where musicality is measured through countless rules, noise remains an outlier. It can't succeed in the traditional sense but it also cannot fail. This piece embraces that freedom by leaning into imperfection and discomfort.

LIVE >> TOURBBY: Kiik Amor X Mervin Wong (well-oiled) 25th October, 7-9 PM After a long hiatus, Lake is back with a live improvised performance by Jordan Edge (Kiik Amor) & Mervin Wong who will engage with our surround sound system. Exploring resonance, texture, and spatial movement, the duo weave voice, live instrumentation, and electronic processing into an evolving, immersive soundscape - a meditative dialogue between composition, environment, and intuition. @kiikamor 𝗞𝗶𝗶𝗸 𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗿 is a UK-based non-binary/trans artist working across sound, composition, and performance art. Their work fuses hyper rot, broken pop melodies, deconstructed death metal, and spectral noise into ecstatic live experiences. Ethereal vocals, distorted sonics and devastating choreography collide in faith. @mervinwong00 Mervin Wong is a vessel of sonic presence. Emerging from Southeast Asia’s shapeshifting aural vanguard, his work traverses the space between deep subconscious ritual and spatial sound performance. With each offering, he invites listeners not merely to hear, but to be transformed by the act of listening itself. Ticket : £8 via link in Bio* BYOB Doors open at 6.30 pm Lake Enclave 5 50 Resolution Way London SE8 4AL Poster: @r0uuu0r @piecesofwei @enclaveprojects
