LAIR 2024. This year we are welcoming Gage Shanahan (Phantom Steel, Forest of Legend, Possessor), who is assuming the roles of bassist and vocalist for our upcoming January 7 gig at Bandito’s and moving into the future. Gage is an incredibly talented musician and has been a great friend of ours for many years, and we are so stoked to play gigs and write music with him going forward.

As we welcome Gage we also bid a fond farewell to our brother Read Urban, who is stepping away from the band to support a loved one dealing with some serious ongoing medical issues. Making music with Read has been a profound privilege and we send our love to him and his family while they navigate a challenging time. We are deeply grateful to Read for his contributions to Lair and are proud of all we have accomplished together, most recently our album The Hidden Shiv. Although the future is uncertain we are hopeful we may have an opportunity to collaborate with him again someday.
