That’s all I kept saying back in 2017, when me & @nostalgicthrill ‘s song “On Me” played on the radio. I thought I had made it. Little did I know, the work had just begun. Also, radio just isn’t a prominent source of media and music discovery like it used to be. Not even 10 years ago. 🙃
This was and is a lesson in resilience and not being complacent. I thought if I sat back and waited, I would be famous and the world would know me. The song did do well and gained us a lot of notoriety, but without continued work and production of music, it essentially went flat at some point😔.
It took years later of me being consistent and not marveling at accomplishments and waiting for them to catapult me into stardom. NOW, I will remain consistent no matter what happens moving fwd. Still, that moment gave me confidence and showed me it’s all possible, but you gotta stay consistent and success is not a destination, it’s a journey. And by the way, now I can’t stand that song, but I love what it did for my confidence and awareness. 🤩
