As a believer in the incredible power of fashion to unite cultures and inspire the world, I took to the runway yesterday.
Alongside @davido , @ugomonye.official and I showed the world the side of African royalty most don't associate with fashion.
This is just the beginning. We have some exciting African Cultural & Heritage Projects in the works that we can't wait to unveil. Stay tuned!

Looking back, one of the greatest rewards has been seeing vision translated into meaningful impact.
To witness culture become a tool for connection, heritage become a platform for growth, and ideas evolve into institutions that continue to serve people and communities is a privilege I hold dearly.
The work has always been larger than recognition. It has always been about policy, strategic executions, artistic expressions, continuity, preservation, and creating pathways that future generations can build upon.
For every hand that has supported this journey, and built alongside, I remain sincerely thankful.
There is still much ahead, and I embrace it with renewed purpose.
50 years of vision. 50 years of building. 50 years of impact.

Today, I turn 50.
And more than celebration, I feel gratitude.
Gratitude for the journey that has taken many forms; as a father, a husband, an entrepreneur, a builder, and a contributor across sectors including banking, health insurance, and technology. At the center of it all has been a commitment to creating value that lasts beyond one generation.
From financial services to innovation-led platforms like CashToken, Cash-Rewared-as- a- Service, the propagation of the Socially Smart Business Model, The shared prosperity framework, to immortalizing Egba and by extension African Culture through fashion arts and diplomacy.
For the most part of my life, the mission has always been consistent and clear: build systems that work, serve people, and create a a legacy connecting history to the present.
There is still much work to do. And for that, I remain inspired.
I am grateful for every lesson, every collaborator, partner, challenge, and the very privilege of an opportunity to build.
50 years later, one thing is certain, the vision is consistent.
Thank you to my Creator.
Happy birthday to me Aare (Prof Prac) Lai Labode.

Evenings like these carry more than ceremony; they carry alignment.
It was a pleasure to share space with distinguished leaders, diplomats, and changemakers at the Qatar AMD Awards in Abuja. The conversations sparked through Egbaliganza 2026 are steadily opening new pathways for collaboration, diplomacy, and continental growth.
Grateful for the exchange. Even more inspired by what lies ahead.

The ADE AARE ONA-KAKANFO is a cultural statement shaped by memory, authority, and the enduring language of heritage.
Designed by @lai_labode , Aare of Egbaland, and inspired by Kabiyesi Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, GCFR, the headpiece draws from the ancestral lineage of Yoruba martial tradition and reinterprets it through the visual constitution of the Egba people.
It honours the iron-willed guardians of the past while carrying forward the golden promise of the Egba future.

I was honoured to join the Qatar AMD Awards hosted by the Qatar Ambassador at his residence in Abuja.
It was an evening of recognition, shared regard, and meaningful exchange. Presenting awards to distinguished recipients was a reminder that progress is built by people whose work quietly strengthens institutions, relationships, and communities. To honour such work is always significant.
Moments like this remind me of the impact we made through Egbaliganza 2026 and how that continues to bridge important gaps toward the adoption of the CAFA Growth Charter, first by the AU and then by the world at large.
A well-spent evening.

Easter is more than a celebration, it is a reminder that what was buried does not stay buried. That what was forgotten can be restored. That purpose, when it is divinely ordained, cannot be silenced.
As I reflect on the meaning of this season, I see Egbaland.
I see a people whose culture, heritage, and identity were slowly being buried beneath the noise of the world and I see a resurrection underway.
A people rising again. An Adire-draped, drum-beating, history-carrying nation taking its rightful place on the global stage.
The Egba Museum of Heritage and Culture preserving who we are. Egbaliganza announcing who we are to the world. Over 50 nations gathered in Abeokuta proof that Egbaland is rising.
Just as the stone was rolled away, we are rolling away every limitation placed on our culture, our economy, and our identity. This is not coincidence. This is purpose.
I am grateful to God for the gift of service. Grateful to Kabiyesi, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, HRM Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, for the trust placed in me. Grateful to every Egba son and daughter at home and in diaspora who believes in this vision.
The work is sacred. The journey continues.
From my family to yours, Happy Easter.
Ẹ kú Àjinde. Ẹ kú ìdúpẹ́.

At Egbaliganza, every guest is received with honour.
We proudly acknowledge the diplomats who joined us, a beautiful reflection of cultures meeting, connecting, and celebrating together. Adorned in Egba attire, they wore our heritage with grace and pride.
Here, respect is shared, and culture is embraced without distinction.
