Today is the one year Amsterdam-iversary and it only felt right to honor this day by having a really natural, elegant and overall normal photoshoot in front of the most important place to me this year, the building I’ve undoubtably spent the most time in- Cook Kai. Thank you for feeding me, body and soul, for a whole year.

At least once a week I wish I was getting Kabobi with Elana and Paige. But, I’m so happy to do this. I’ve started managing the @boomchicagoacademy in the last couple of weeks and it’s been an undertaking for the ages. I didn’t know I could be capable of taking this over, but the community and specifically the pillar of this Amsterdam comedy community, the woman who handed it over to me @staceysmithcomedy showed me that I could. October 3rd to November 3rd I was lucky enough to be in some beautiful places. These are my favorites I took from Ireland, Scotland, Belgium, and at the end there we have a lovely pic of sweet Amsterdam in full fall swing and the Breda trees where I’m at this very moment ✨
Also! Ten years ago today I did my first improv show. I’m unbelievably happy to be where I am right now.

The girl cheesin in this picture is moving to Amsterdam to perform and teach with @boomchicago ! This is a dream come true. That same girl is seen in this video, no idea that she is exactly 14 years to the DAY away from her first improv show.
I’ll leave Chicago for a year (!!!!!!). This moment feels like a product of so much work. I’m unbelievably lucky and grateful. My eyes well up thinking about all my students, collaborators, directors, teammates, birdladies, boys clubbers, Kensingtons and Wentworths, best friends who have nothing to do with comedy but still listened to me workshop the dumbest bits, and the family who facilitated countless vision boarding sessions- you sustained me and made this possible. I’m so proud and excited!
We spent five days driving around Ireland. I will treasure every moment of this positively bonkers week. A week that can only be properly summarized by the video here. Elana and Lara are the best company, what a trip 🥰
