Actuar en Repertorio Español no es solamente hacer teatro en Nueva York, que para mí ya es INMENSO.🗽 Es entrar a un escenario que desde el 68 ha protegido nuestras historias, nuestros acentos y nuestra forma de sentir el mundo.🎭 Un teatro donde han vivido las palabras de Pedro Calderón de la Barca, Federico García Lorca y tantos autores que mantuvieron vivo nuestro idioma en el corazón de Manhattan. Pienso mucho en los artistas latinos que llegaron a esta ciudad como yo, cuando me vine a estudiar, con la maleta de los sueños y de ganas inmensas de crear… y este teatro aquí esperandonos abriéndonos las puertas como comunidad latina, para permitir hacernos sentir. Este espacio abrió camino muchísimo antes de que la representación latina fuera una conversación global. Qué honor! Ya casito 18,19,20,21 de Junio aquí en el @repertorionyc 🎭 #vidaporquesolohayuna #vidaporquesolohayunanyc Performing at Repertorio Español is not just doing theater in New York — which to me already feels HUGE. 🗽 It’s stepping onto a stage that, since 1968, has protected our stories, our accents, and the way we feel and see the world. 🎭A theater where the words of Pedro Calderón de la Barca, Federico García Lorca, and so many other writers have lived on, keeping our language alive in the heart of Manhattan. I think a lot about the Latino artists who arrived in this city — just like I did when I first came here to study — carrying a suitcase full of dreams and an overwhelming desire to create… and this theater here, waiting for us, opening its doors to us as a Latino community, giving us a place where we could truly feel seen and heard. Se casó la muñequita y logré llegar hasta Guelph/Canadá. 🇨🇦En carreras como siempre, entre grabaciones, aviones, carros, carreteras, gripas, pero LLEGUÉ! 👰🏻‍♀️👮🏻‍♂️ El matrimonio fue demasiado divino, la canción que bailaron los novios fue esta de Daniel Caesar, la amo, recuerdo ir a su concierto en L.A. Pasé una noche en Toronto en el @acehotel (Lo amé) Fui al @agotoronto Imperdible, empezando por su arquitectura de Frank Gehry. Hay full arte contempo Canadiense espléndido! Pd: El frío no es lo mío, así que cuando vuelva me aseguraré de que sea en verano🫯 Besos vuelan!!! Gracias Canadá y sobre todo gracias @valsarmiento5 por reunir a la familia al rededor del amor!💌 The little doll got married and I somehow made it all the way to Guelph, Canada 🇨🇦 Running around as always — between shoots, flights, cars, highways, and a brutal flu — but I MADE IT 👰🏻‍♀️👮🏻‍♂️ The wedding was beyond beautiful. The song the bride and groom danced to was this Daniel Caesar song… I love it so much. It took me right back to his concert in L.A. I spent a night in Toronto at Ace Hotel Toronto (LOVED it). Went to the AGO Toronto — absolutely unmissable, starting with the Frank Gehry architecture alone. So much incredible contemporary Canadian art!🇨🇦 PS: Cold weather is definitely not my thing, so next time I’ll make sure it’s summer ❄️ Besos vuelan!!!
