Do you know something funny about this Motion Poster? I made this Motion Poster for @1upcandy last Thanksgiving and since I didn't have a video of Faze Rug nor time to create a 3D model of it I had to improvise and use a photo for both Faze Rug and the Background. Everything else was done in Blender and I composited everything in After Effects so it didn't look out of place. This is the most fun I've ever had making a Motion Poster for Social Media. I had never tried mixing 2D photos with 3D environments before and it was a good challenge for me, working with mixed media always makes your brain come up with the most creative solutions. Will you shoot to the moon? (it was time of the orange color code post of the week 🤠) Recently I had the opportunity to work on a project for one of the biggest energy drink brands in the world. Sadly I was told I can't share what I did for them on social media BUT If I swap anything related to the brand I can share it. So I came up with my own made-up energy drink brand "MOONSHOT" (It's not a real brand) I came up with the name, use an old logo I created a long time ago and did all the brading for the can. Grab a 3D model of can, put everything on top it, animated it and replaced on the animation I did for that famous energy drink brand. It was a fun procress and I will probably share in a new reel in the future! Sup everyone! Here it's a sneak peak of a promotion I did in collaboration with 1UP Candy for Prime Day last year. What I love about this video in particular is that I came up with the whole concept with no direction at all from the team, I did a rough version of the copy, outline what I would need to present the promotion with motion and end up with this. This small ad end up being a success and generate a good amount of sales for the promotion! NAGUARÁ🤠 It's been a long time since a post with the orange color code, so... Lately, I've been taking @cabeza_patata 's courses on Typography 3D animation in Blender, and I've been enjoying it a lot. Of course, I chose my favorite Venezuelan word, "Naguará," and decided to do the course's exercise with it. I often notice that when taking courses online, instead of doing exactly what they ask you to do, choosing an original idea presents its own challenges that lead you to learn more about the topic. For example, for this exercise, I decided to have the word stack up 7 times instead of 3 times as the exercise invited you to do. But this presented its own problem: Blender was getting slower each time I duplicated the word's mesh. This led me to use the "Array" modifier and, after some tweaking, achieve the effect I was looking for without the computational load of having duplicated meshes. And that's something I wouldn't have learned by just copying what the course was doing, and it also gives you that "Eureka" moment when you figure it out on your own! And if you're wondering, "Naguará" is a word we use in my home country to express surprise about something. I replaced a football with the most sour candy in the world! Today I want to show another collab I did with the @1upcandy team. I can't begin to explain what it took to do the rotoscoping on the football to replace it with the sour candy only having less than day to deliver the video. having only less than a day to deliver the video. I could have done better if I had the time, but with the limited time I had, the result was great and I'm proud of it! Animating typography has never been my strongest skill and something I've been really into lately is to produce 3D animation natively on After Effects. I decided to put these two things together and practice 3D typography animation. I made this for my friend's clothing brand @vetheuiluwu since if I was about to learn a new skill why not make something for someone to use? So I took a font that really resonates with them, a graphic style that really fit the brand and landed on this. "Smoooooth Operator" Last year I also had the opportunity to collaborate creating TikTok content for the NFL Athlete @obj . I had a great time working on this, it was supposed to be something simple, but inspired by the latest spiderverse movie I came up with this for this edit. I did the color grading on the stock footage and also added the “spiderverse-like animation”. This end up gathering around 300k views in total!! I animated the most sour candy in the world! Last year I got the amazing oportunity to collaborate with @1upcandy by @fazerug creating content for their social media. I porpouse the idea of making 3D Motion Poster as part of their content and we ideate and made multiple versions to promote the most sour candy in the world. We combined Rug promotional photos with 3D assets to create this. One of the biggest challenges was to create 3D gummy models that looked like real the real gummy, but were cartoonish enough that they didn't look weird when animated. “My life to yours. My breath become yours.” 🌫 As you might know, I'm a huge @brandsanderson fan. When I read Warbreaker fell in love with the idea of a God that doesn't believe is in own religion. Then I decided that I wanted to animate something from book but since I'm not that good at illustration I didn't know where to start. That's when I came across @carloswkart swkart work on Pinterest and tried to emulated in when I animated Vin from Mistborn (see some post below). Then, in a strange twist of fate, we ended up following each other on Twitter and I asked him if I could animate his illustrations for Warbreaker, and this is what I came up with. The biggest challege with this project was animated each individual gradient. Also create the distorted aura around Susebron's character and the Palace since I wanted to represent how it looked in my head. I love when I work on pasion projects like this and want to bring more characters from @brandsanderson books to life. You can expect more of those down the road!
