Founded in 1969, the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle is a non-profit organization dedicated to excellence in theatrical criticism and to the encouragement and improvement of theatre in Greater Los Angeles. Members of the LADCC collectively watch over 1000+ performances a year, engaging with a wide variety of theatre across LA, Ventura, and Orange County. Our theater critics post reviews, feature articles, and interviews throughout the year. The LADCC is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.

The absence of any local production from the LADCC website or social media is not intentional and does not reflect any opinion by the LADCC; with the exception of human error, this just means no reviews of that show by LADCC members have been published.

🎉 Three big wins, one unforgettable night!
Our Artistic Director Lily Tung Crystal (@lilytungcrystal ) accepted the Joel Hirschhorn Award, an annual award for outstanding achievement in musical theatre, on behalf of East West Players at the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC) Awards party.
We were also thrilled to celebrate wins for Naomi Yoshida’s costume design and Marc Macalintal’s (@kulot88 ) orchestration & music direction in our production of Pacific Overtures!
