Your wedding day is going to feel rushed. And it’s not the day’s fault.
There’s a version of your wedding day already playing in your head.
You. Your partner. Your people. Music you actually want to hear.
A day that feels like your life. Just dialed up to 11.
Then there’s the other version.
The one where you spend the whole day following someone else’s directions.
Every time something real starts, someone taps your shoulder.
And by the end of the night you realize you spent the whole day being pulled out of moments.
Not actually living them.
Allow me explain how it gets that way.
Most wedding photography is built around a shot list. Not craft.
Which means the photographer shows up with a spreadsheet of images they need to collect.
And your day gets arranged around that spreadsheet.
Your day. Arranged around a spreadsheet.
What you get back is a gallery of two people behaving like they’re being photographed.
Not two people living through the biggest day of their lives.
The moment is the whole point.
Not a photographer in your face every 30 minutes going “stand here, now here, chin down.”
The way your mom holds back tears during your vows. That’s the photo. Not a random ass field at sunset.
You should be AT your wedding.
Not getting pulled out of it.
I want you to FEEL your wedding. Not just look at it later and remember posing for it.

I can’t even put into words how much of an emotional night last night was. It was Elizabeth’s last play performance as a high school senior at Woodstock Academy.
We are so incredibly proud of her. Being able to keep her grades up, staying late nights at rehearsals, driving to and from, all of it.
She really has become an amazing young lady.
For those who don’t know, when the seniors, at their last performance, kiss their hand and touch the stage as they say good bye. 😢
Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot. It is loud, a little chaotic, and completely lived in day.
And that’s exactly how I photograph it.
I blend in with your people and quietly document the in‑between moments that feel like you, so your gallery looks like a story, not a checklist of poses.
Documentary wedding photography for couples who care more about presence than perfection.

I don’t know about yall, but I know I’m tired of the same posts being made that tell you 100 things you should be asking your wedding photographer.
They are all BS listed. But there are things you absolutely should be asking them. And it not what you think!

My thoughts on hourly collections that most wedding photographers offer. I think I’ve found a much better approach!

Wedding planning turns into a constant stream of emails, timelines, and “one more thing to figure out.”
So every once in a while I send something different.
A handwritten letter.
No planning questions.
No timeline talk.
Just a small pause in the middle of all the chaos.
Sometimes couples just need a reminder that someone’s in their corner.
