Transformation is painful..
especially because it involves the reshaping of the soul.
Your primary personality is often not good enough to take you to your destiny, it requires a remodellling along the way.
And this often comes with painful experiences to show that a shift is needed, but sometimes we are too loyal to who we believe we are that we can't heed the call of newness.
It may take experiences of betrayal to teach you that your beautiful nature that trust people easily needs a shift.
You may need to experience the hurt of being severally cheated to learn to stand up for yourself.
Those you serve freely may need to throw it at your face for you to learn to value your service more.
The issue is the fear of losing the beauty of your soul to people's treatment..
But there's the core of your being, your conscience which you must keep pure and there's the understanding of how life works that requires you to learn the right responses in different situations.
You have to be free form naivety masquerading as "niceness" to engage life well.
Jesus was lion and lamb. Not duality but a rounded personality that knows how to deal purposefully. Lion in some situations and lamb in others.
You may consider yourself at the core to be a lamb but you can't keep "lambing" around in every situation, you need to know when to "lionize" and vice versa.
Many times, it is painful experiences that teach this.
We must the understand when the revelation is "Do not be weary in well doing" or when it is "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind"
We will be wise not to romance the pain for too long or to hate the people who caused it but to embrace the lessons and welcome a new perspective.
In the end, Pain may your partner in destiny that you mustn't despise.
