@michaelshannon to please read the punisher comics we need an adaptation that is loyal to the character and source material. We’ve gotten an adaptation that’s disconnected from the comics and in the worst way it’s not Frank Castle it’s not the punisher! Man of Stone is a story from the Garth Ennis MAX comic The punisher and is where Castle goes to Afghanistan and faces his war overseas. Actor Ray Stevenson, who portrayed the punisher in the 2008 movie punisher Warzone and who has passed away now was given the reigns to direct the next sequel if given the green light from Lexi Alexander, who directed punisher Warzone. She wanted him to direct his next punisher Movie and an interview back years ago, Ray Stevenson wanted to come back and direct the next punisher sequel to his movie, which was the Man of Stone. unfortunately, his movie never got a sequel and we will never know how that would’ve turned out. It was unfortunate to hear his passing as he was the most accurate portrayal of the punisher to this day.
@michaelshannon was mentioned many times throughout the years by fans and as I’ve seen his work it’s no wonder why I am now convinced he would be the most accurate portrayal next to Ray Stevensons punisher. He has the right height the right look and demeanor and age of the character I’ve asked others if they would like to see

@michaelshannon brings to the table matches that of The Punisher and would absolutely love to see him play this character in a new and loyal adaptation of the source material and the brutal and cold world where the character wages his war on crime.
