Big moves happening at Dirtbags Academy. 💯 Our student Ramces is taking the skills he learned in two of our programs — Detailing and Printing & Design — and turning them into something real for his future. Seeing him create his first company shirts alongside his daughter is exactly what this is all about. Family, growth, and building something from the ground up. This is only the beginning of his journey, and we’re proud to watch him take that next step toward becoming a business owner and creating opportunities for himself and his family. 👏 Shoutout to Ramces for putting in the work and believing in himself. And thank you to Los Angeles County Justice, Care and Opportunities Department for helping us create real opportunities and pathways for our youth and students. Forward motion only. 🚀 #DirtbagsAcademy #JCOD #PrintingAndDesign #Detailing #SmallBusiness Entrepreneur LongBeach DirtbagsCalifornia

#FBF to Second Chance Month with a look at all the events JCOD participated in. That’s 11 events across all 5 Supervisorial Districts. Huge thank you to all our partners for your work in organizing and facilitating these events with us. We hope we were successful in providing resources to the justice impacted community and shining a light on why second chances are so important. The work continues. #JCOD #FlashbackFriday #SecondChanceMonth

The primary election is right around the corner on June 2nd, but the deadline to register is MONDAY, 5/18. Being justice-impacted does not mean you lose your right to vote. Those in jail, those on parole and those on probation are all eligible. At JCOD’s LA Free the Vote page, you can find a link to register to vote and get more information about your voting rights as a justice-impacted individual. Help choose the next leaders of LA County and California by flexing your voting power. #JCOD #LAFTV #Vote

Leadership is about growth, commitment, and continuously investing in yourself to better serve others. Today, we’re proud to celebrate one of our JCOD leaders, TK Nguyen, on graduating from the Executive Leadership Development Program through @lacountyhr 👏🎓 This achievement reflects TK’s dedication to strengthening leadership skills, expanding knowledge, and leading with purpose. We’re excited to see the continued impact this experience will have on our work and the communities we serve. Please join us in congratulating TK on this incredible accomplishment and milestone! #LeadershipDevelopment
