This heartbroken post is one to say thank you to a friend, the beautiful human, Gregg Foreman, who passed from this Earth just days ago. Thank you Gregg for your willingness to collaborate, hauling your sitar up the mountain to lay down basic tracks on a strange mantra to the Divine Mother in the middle of 2016’s El Niño . It was obvious to all of the musicians who gathered up on Laurel Canyon @thecanyonhut that you innately understood what it took to conjure up a fierce form of LOVE. Months later you generously brought yourself again to the overdub sessions on the LES @nyhed_studio by request of your soul brother Judah. Your boundless talent bore witness to whatever was unfolding with sensitivity and a wicked sense of humor. You guys together elevated every single track. Thank you Gregg. Thank you for lacing your own heart into the music… still mourning the passing of your favorite person, your Mother, Vicki, just one month before. You taught all of us how to still show up in the vulnerability of grief and make music. You also taught us how to unabashedly love our Moms. These pictures/videos shared here are just a few from a cherished trove, in honor of the great gifts you have left for the world. Thank you Gregg for being unafraid of the mystical. We will love you forever.

Thank you with all my heart to my dear friend, the luminous artist-designer-creative technologist Andrea Lauer for creating the most incredible mini “temple” for the installation of “Sweet Homa”. After the fires tore through the Red Hook artist building last month, this community has come together quickly to reimagine the 10th anniversary of Red Hook Opening Studios. Please join us again today, Sunday, Oct 12th, 2:30-6:30pm Andrea’s shop @risendivision at 70 Van Dyke Street for an immersive, fully present experience. Afterwards, we will go to a celebration for all artists at a nearby Red Hook studio in which you will be welcome to join! “Sweet Homa” is the opening track of the CHAMUNDA album. SENSING RESONANCE… last Friday, September 26th a group of us descended on New Haven, CT to experiment with the ancient sound syllables of a Divine Feminine mantra within the cocoon of artist Leo Villareal’s current mind-bending light installation, The Celestial Garden, in The Dome at the Schwarzman Center at Yale University. About 100 of us gathered in person with healing intentions while a core group of 7 lead 108 rounds of the mantra. In the virtual space, others who chant with us regularly, joined via zoom. These are the final rounds before sitting in the residue.
