(repost) To commemorate Palestinian Prisoners’ Day — April 17, 2026 — we are sharing Lines in the Sand: Writings on the Gaza Solidarity Encampment & Campus Flood at U.C. Berkeley from an Anarchist Prisoner of War, a collection of writing Casey Goonan produced while imprisoned at Santa Rita Jail awaiting trial for actions carried out in solidarity with the Palestinian people enduring and resisting genocide in Gaza. As a comrade in many movements—from street uprisings for Black liberation, mass prisoner struggles, and anti-imperialist solidarity in the belly of the beast—Casey’s works (whether in their own name as a guerrilla intellectual or anonymously in uncountable movement contributions) have never been bound by barbed-wire barriers or ephemeral abstractions, always seeking to help us to determine what’s possible here and now, especially through their immense efforts in the zine-to-prisoner distro True Leap Press. Casey’s intellectual curiosity is limitless, and, while what’s collected here is far from the entirety of what Casey wrote while at Santa Rita, these are the interventions that Casey drafted, edited, edited again, and sent outside to us in a stack of manila envelopes for us to share widely with those who need them. Writing is a task that never ceases for Casey—they are always reading, reflecting, and sitting down with a pen in hand to poetically untangle not just their context of captivity but the wider stakes of global anti-imperialist struggle. DOC is actively disappearing Malik Muhammad In the wake of a call-in campaign to get Malik out of solitary confinement (once again), something even more alarming happened. On Monday March 30th, 2026, a member of Malik’s support team realized they disappeared from the prison messaging app GettingOut. Similarly the inmate search database for the state of Oregon showed no record of them. Family and friends have been frantically calling Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution (EOCI) and various contact numbers for Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC). State representatives were very reluctant to provide any information, though one in the Office of Population Management stated that Malik was moved to a “confidential location” but refused to specify where or for what reason. Prisoners do not simply disappear from state records; they do not disappear from a state prison with no documentation about a transfer or their current whereabouts. As of this moment, after dozens and dozens of phone calls, we have no idea where Malik is located. We have not been able to speak with them since they entered solitary confinement. Nobody at the federal level with the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has acknowledged they now have custody of Malik. They are just gone and nobody is saying a word. We have plenty of experience with the long stretches where Malik has been cut off from loves ones, refused any communications while enduring the torture that is extensive time in the hole. We are aware of the power and cruelty exercised by the state on a regular basis. But this is entirely different; we are scared. We know nothing about Malik’s condition, location, current circumstances, or how / why ODOC has taken the extraordinary steps to block all access and information about our beloved friend. We demand answers from, and consequences for, the individuals responsible. /post/2026/04/02/oregon-doc-is-actively-disappearing-malik-muhammad/

This request is being asked again as Casey's Cashapp and Venmo accounts were frozen for the first two weeks of this community request. ALT Text: Image of Casey Brezik in a black beanie and sunglasses. White text on black background. Headline text reads “Support for Casey! CashApp: $caseybrezik. Venmo Info Pending!” Body text reads “After 15 years in prison, anarchist PP / POW Casey Brezik has come home! He is adjusting well, and psyched about life, but needs our help to get started. Living expenses and basic needs can be difficult to meet without a job, connections and experience moving through this technology-driven, end-stage-capitalist reality. Anything you give will help ease the labor and anxiety that anyone would be dealing with after nearly two decades in a highly-controlled, hyper-violent carceral system. Please share and support if you can. Thank you!” #MutualAid #CaseyBrezik

Political prisoner Alexander Stokes has been moved to a new prison- another maximum security prison and an infamous one: Sing Sing prison. His birthday is coming up on February 26th and transfers are always rough so shoot him a letter or card if you can. Alex Contompasis #22B5028
 Sing Sing Correctional Facility
354 Hunter Street
Ossining, NY 10562 Alex received a 20 year sentence and is not eligible for parole until 2039. You can donate to his support fund at freealexstokes.com/donate Background:
Alex Stokes Contompasis is a journalist and artist from Albany, NY. Alex’s work documenting social unrest began in 2014. He was arrested in 2017 in Washington DC during the J20 inaugural protests and co-represented over 200 counter-protestors and independent journalists that were rounded up and falsely charged. He was in Charlottesville, VA during the summer protests in 2017. He routinely attended and recorded Black Lives Matter protests in Albany in 2020. He also regularly revealed local white supremacist groups and members. On January 6, 2021, protestors gathered outside the New York State Capitol in Albany, NY in support of the Stop the Steal rally in Washington DC. A handful of counter protesters spoke out against them and a melee broke out after a Proud Boy tased a Black man in the neck. Alex was watching from the sidelines and ran to help others. Police did not intervene until the violence had ended and ultimately arrested three Black activists. Alex was charged with several violent felonies. The Proud Boys that engaged in the violence were not arrested at the scene. Alex’s family and friends maintain that he was railroaded by the system. He was a journalist under a court-ordered gag-order for over a year. His previous work and experience with dangerous hate groups were inadmissible for his defense, but the prosecution picked apart his social media accounts and portrayed his actions as premeditated. He was found guilty on all charges and sentenced to 20 years in prison, despite the fact that no one died and neither of the victims received life-altering injuries. One even began a job as an EMT just 6 weeks later.

Hridindu Roychowdhury transferred to new prison Political Prisoner Hridindy Roychowdhury has been transferred to a new prison- a low security prison in Illinois. He also has an upcoming birthday on February 24th so feel free to shoot him a note or birthday wishes. Hridindu Roychowdhury #51111-510 FCI Thomson PO Box 1002 Thomson, IL 61285 Hridindu Roychowdhury is an anarchist from Madison, Wisconcin who was sentenced to 90 months in federal prison for attacking a building with a Molotov cocktail in the wake of the leak of the draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, overruling Roe v. Wade. He targeted the building because it was occupied by an anti-choice organization (Wisconsin Family Action). Roychowdhury acknowledged spray-painting the message “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either” on the outside of the building. No one was in the office at the time. Roychowdhury pleaded guilty on Dec. 1, 2023. He was was ordered to pay nearly $32,000 in restitution and was serving his sentence at FCI Marion. He received a 7.5 year sentence. In May 2025, he was shipped to Wisconsin to go before a grand jury. After the judge recently found him in contempt for refusing to answer questions within the grand jury room, he sat in this county jail without earning any good time—in essence his federal time was frozen until contempt is purged. Originally from the U.S. Southwest, he is a diligent academic and enjoyer of word puzzles and Terry Pratchet novels. Earlier in federal detention, he had been keeping himself busy by taking courses in advanced mathematics, tutoring other people in prison to complete their GED tests, and participating with a dog training program. He was moved to county jail in 2025 in retaliation for refusing to cooperate with a federal grand jury. Hridindu was released from contempt and returned to the Bureau of Prisons in September 2025.
